EXHIBITION

Exhibition in Angers: “Four-color Tapestries: The Extraordinary BIC Collection Revealed” on display from February 14 to May 17

The exhibition "Four-color Tapestries: The extraordinary BIC collection revealed" (Tapisseries 4 couleurs. L’extraordinaire collection BIC révélée) is being held until May 17, 2026 at the Château d'Angers. Presented to the general public for the first time, fourteen exceptional tapestries belonging to the BIC Company are on display in the rooms of the Logis Royal at the Domaine National du Château d'Angers. Hunting scenes, stories of country life, gallant scenes... These Renaissance tapestries are a testament to exceptional craftsmanship. They adorned the BIC headquarters until the 2000s. The exhibition invites visitors to discover this rare collection, as well as works from the BIC Contemporary Art Collection and artists Julien Jaffré and Sabine Moore, presented in resonance. EVENT

BIC en Couleurs Lit Up the Marais

BIC en Couleurs lit up the Marais in Paris this October! The opening night drew more than 200 visitors, and throughout the week the space remained alive with energy — from fully booked workshops to intimate moments of discovery between viewers and the artworks. The exhibition also received strong media attention, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for BIC’s artistic universe.
Consumers continue to show a deep interest in BIC’s longstanding connection with the art world, and this exhibition offered an inspiring glimpse into the creativity that our products help bring to life.

We have built up a unique art collection at BIC. It is a testimony of our passion for creation, originality and a close relationship with our consumers. Creative tools or sources of inspiration, our everyday products, simple and nomadic, are extended into works of art that arouse our pride and the desire to collect a number of them. These artistic creations speak of today's world and help to make it more inspiring.

  • 250 works of art
  • Artists from all over the world
  • An exhibition in 2018 at Centquatre Paris - The exhibition catalog
  • Works on display in our offices and factories

Beyond our BIC collection of contemporary art, our commitment extends to the many artists around the world who use or are inspired by our products. By organizing regional art competitions and offering various platforms for visibility, we actively support emerging talent.

BIC ART MASTER AFRICA

BIC Art Master Africa is an annual competition that invites artists to create works of art using the iconic BIC ballpoint pen. Launched in 2017, the BIC Art Master competition engages more than 3,700 artists across the Africa and Middle East region.

From the presence of its iconic products in the permanent collections of major museums such as MoMA in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris or the Mude in Lisbon, to collaborations with innovative brands such as Aigle, Pinel & Pinel or Macon & Lesquoy, we are proud to inspire designers and brands on a daily basis, making BIC a true catalyst of creativity.

MACON & LESQUOY

This collaboration began with the creation of a brooch in the shape of the iconic BIC Cristal pen. The collection continued with the BIC 4 Couleurs pen, the icon of the 70s, followed by a brooch in the shape of a BIC lighter.

PINEL & PINEL

In 2020, the French firm Pinel & Pinel dressed up a series of BIC Cristal pens in taurillon leather. The collection now includes seven pens with gold or silver caps.
