For the fifth year, BIC will participate in Global Education Week beginning November 18, 2024. 

SHELTON, Conn., Nov. 18, 2024 – As a part of the company’s Writing The Future, Together commitment, aimed at improving learning conditions for 250 million students worldwide, team members across 40 BIC sites will come together to support education by donating writing and coloring products to schools and non-profit organizations and volunteering in their local communities.

It’s through initiatives like Global Education Week that we can make a lasting impact on the lives of students around the world. I am proud to see this annual event not only inspire our team members, but also motivate others to give back in meaningful ways,” shares Gonzalve Bich, CEO and Chairman of the BIC Corporate Foundation. 

With over 6.7 million units of product donated since 2022, BIC’s Global Education Week initiatives have positively impacted more than 530,000 children around the world –  and we’re not stopping there.  

This year we aim to surpass last year’s donation of 4 million products, so that we can continue to promote access to education to more children around the world.  

As members of Team BIC participate in events to support their local communities, we are also proud to partner with Somos el Cambio, a non-profit organization in Mexico. This partnership will aid in the distribution of BIC products to over 400 public schools in Tamaulipas, Nuevo León, Veracruz and Estado de México, with the potential to impact over 800,950 children.
