BIC Reaffirms Its Commitment to Art and Artists with the Launch of a Virtual Museum
15-APR-2026 – BIC, a leader in writing instruments, lighters, and shavers, is proud to announce the launch of a virtual museum dedicated to its contemporary art collection: The BIC Art Collection Museum, now accessible online to everyone.
Since the 1990s, BIC has supported artistic production inspired by the brand’s products, notably through a collection of artworks created by both emerging and established artists. This collection, comprising 250 pieces, is permanently exhibited at the company’s headquarters in Clichy, France. A selection of these works is now accessible to all, anywhere in the world, with just a few clicks.
Visitors are invited to wander through this virtual gallery, moving from a drawing by Claude Closky to a sculptural piece by Thomas Hirschhorn. True to the philosophy it has upheld for more than 80 years, BIC is sharing with the widest possible audience the unique results of the creativity of more than one hundred artists from around the globe.
According to Alix Dufour, Global Brand Manager – Art & Creativity, “This museum is a new platform for expression for artists within the BIC community. It is a privilege to see our iconic products, such as the BIC 4 Colors or the BIC Cristal, accompany the work of renowned artists and emerging talents. With this virtual museum, we can showcase to a broad audience all the unexpected ways our everyday products can be used.”
Many artists work regularly—if not exclusively—with BIC ballpoint pens, favoring this simple, reliable, and accessible tool. Whether drawn to the practicality of the BIC 4 Colors pen or the richness of the blue ink of the BIC Cristal, the artists featured in the BIC collection invite visitors into a world where precision and finesse reign supreme.
