THE CHALLENGE
Bullying has become one of the largest challenges faced by today’s education system and the new generation of children and youth. It has a direct impact on school dropout rates and the declining mental health of children and teenagers, affecting their ability to live day-to-day and limiting their overall development.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
P.I.C.A reaches out to schools in the region and parent associations, as well as local sports, cultural, and community centers, to offer talks and workshops on bullying prevention. The project follows a pragmatic approach, addressing concrete bullying situations and how to handle them as fellow students, teachers, etc. Facilitators also aim to promote respect, understanding, and relational skills among children and youth. P.I.C.A also provides legal counsel and psychological support to affected children and families.
