ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
NGO Name: Algo en común - Location: Colombia
The Ibero-American audiovisual sector needs more accessible and inclusive opportunities to support emerging screenwriters and creators. Young talents often face difficulties accessing specialized training, high-quality professional feedback, and networks that can help them develop their projects.
It is also essential to encourage diverse storytelling and foster exchanges between local talents and international experts to strengthen creative skills and build stronger, more connected artistic communities.
The project “Master Classes – Ibero-American Screenwriting Residency” supports the development of screenwriting projects through direct exchanges with acclaimed screenwriters, directors, and producers. Supported by the Foundation, this initiative aims to strengthen participants’ creative skills while encouraging collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the Ibero-American audiovisual community.
Through master classes focused on dramatic structure, character development, and collaborative writing, participants gain practical tools and personalized feedback to advance their projects. Hosted in cultural venues across Cali and open to the public, these sessions also encourage dialogue with the local audiovisual community and help position Cali as an important hub for screenwriting innovation and creativity in Ibero-America.
