THE CHALLENGE

Supporting social entrepreneurs with ideas for systemic change can offer benefits for Morocco and the wider international community. It can improve educational system developing skills and attitudes for the 22nd Century.  

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The objective of this project is to transform the Moroccan educational system through the promotion of social entrepreneurship and social innovation in public high-schools, turning schools into a vector of social innovation. Students are encouraged to develop social business ideas that present a solution to a problem, being experienced either in the school or the community. The project has 3 phases, deployed throughout the school year:

  1. Training in social entrepreneurship;
  2. Coaching and mentoring to plan social business idea;
  3. Regional & National competition to select winner projects. The project targets student with the help of its direct environment (local associations, Education Academies, High-schools directors, teacher and parents)

Today at Tamkeen initiative competition, the atmosphere was truly wonderful. The projects were innovative that provided solutions to the education sector.

I had the pleasure today to be among of the jury of the 6th edition of Tamkeen initiative, I am delighted to see young people taking initiatives. The truth it was very difficult to distinguish them because the sectors and fields of action are very different.
