THE CHALLENGE
Strengthen the current national education system through the implementation of projects that targets students as well as educators will enable the development and transformation of Guatemalan society.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project provides young indigenous women from rural and isolated areas of the country the possibility to continue their studies in a private, safe and violence-free space. Through a scholarship that includes: school enrollment, lodging, food and educational materials, the young women can guarantee their studies and complete their secondary education. Furthermore, they have the opportunity to participate in art, productivity, entrepreneurship, and specialized science courses, which would normally be completely out of reach for them. Finally, the project contemplates the participation of other organizations to improve the leadership and citizenship capacities that the young women need to develop.
