ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
NGO Name: Curriculum for Life - Location: England
Young people are significantly underrepresented in shaping the future and contributing to global discussions. Although youth make up half of the world's population, they occupy only 2.6% of parliamentary positions worldwide (UN). This highlights a disconnect between the fresh ideas young people offer and those in decision-making roles. Barriers—whether educational, political, or cultural—limit their ability to participate in international dialogues. Traditional decision-making platforms, often designed for adults, are not easily accessible to most youth.
The Voices of Tomorrow project empowers young people globally to share their vision of the future through creative arts. By offering an inclusive platform, it enables youth to express themselves across linguistic and cultural boundaries, fostering a strong sense of agency and belonging.
Through global showcases and community-driven experiences, young people can engage in meaningful dialogue, influence policies, and shape the world they will inherit. This initiative fosters unity and collaboration among diverse backgrounds, creating a more inclusive and empathetic society where youth voices are catalysts for positive change.
The impact extends beyond my own life to the lives of Afghan women. It's crucial not to forget our struggles over the past 20 years—for our rights, necessities, and the very foundation of life. Each of us should contribute, whether as a poet, artist, or in any other capacity, to ensure that the voices of Afghan women are never forgotten.
